Gordon Jenkins, who is mayor of Monticello, New York, was arrested on bribery charges in addition to “endangering the public health.” His building inspector James Snowden was also arrested on similar charges.
Lewis is no stranger to trouble. He has gotten into trouble with the law more than once since joining Michael Bloomberg’s anti-second amendment group Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
According to the Washington Free Beacon:
This is not the first time the embattled mayor has gotten in trouble with the law since joining Bloomberg’s group. CBS New York reported in 2013 that he had been arrested for driving while intoxicated. Jenkins has come under fire in his hometown and was described as “not competent” by Monticello Village Manager Raymond Nargizian.
“These people are a serious part of the problem; they are not part of the solution,” Nargizian said of Jenkins and another Monticello official in comments given to the Mid Hudson News on Saturday. He also said Jenkins should step down.
The problem here is most of the major anti-gun movement is being led by corrupt city officials who like Jenkins.
People in positions of power, who ultimately have no real concern for the well-being of their constituents, but are only looking for their own personal gain are the ones who are forcing new draconian gun laws to go into effect.
Worse yet, many times they’re winning.
That’s why it’s so important to fight hard for your gun rights.
But what can you do when they’re robbing you of your legal right to own?
One thing you can do is build your own “off the books” rifle. Click here to discover more about owning a 100% legal, off the books AR-15.
