Kennedy Center Fires Contractor Who Worked With Kids After ‘Disturbing,’ Nude Anti-Trump Video.

Tavish Forsyth, previously an associate artistic lead at the Washington National Opera’s Opera Institute, has been fired after releasing a nude video protesting changes being made at the Kennedy Center by President Trump and his point man Amb. Ric Grenell.

In the YouTube video, Forsyth—who Kennedy Center sources tell The National Pulse was part of an education division which regularly engaged with students—performed a 35-minute spoken-word poem while nude. He was fired on Thursday afternoon.

Forsyth, who identifies as “queer,” expressed concerns over recent leadership changes at the Kennedy Center, particularly a ban on drag performers allegedly imposed by President Trump’s administration. Forsyth is also a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University, where his staff bio lists his pronouns as “they/them.”

Roma Daravi, the Kennedy Center’s vice president of public relations, described the video as “extremely disturbing,” noting Forsyth’s work with minors. Forsyth, however, argued that the video was intended to critique what he claims is an erosion of diversity and inclusivity at the center.

Throughout the video, Forsyth delivered a refrain asking, “Should I quit the Kennedy Center?”

The decision, it appears, has been made for him.
