Barack Obama released Gitmo detainee Mohammad Al Rahman Al Shumrani this week.

Shumrani vowed to slaughter “as many Americans as possible” if he ever gets out of Gitmo.

In President Obama’s quest to shut down Guantanamo Bay, his administration is continuing apace in releasing detainees. We’re only 13 days into the new year and four have already been released, including 40-year-old Muhammad al Rahman al-Shumrani.

Al-Shumrani’s transfer back to his home country of Saudi Arabia is particularly troublesome because he’s already made it clear that killing Americans will be a top priority upon his release.

According to his leaked confidential file, he reportedly told guards on October 14, 2007, the following:

On 14 October 2007, detainee stated, “When I get out of here, I will go to Iraq and Afghanistan and kill as many Americans as I can. Then I will come here and kill more Americans.” 35 ? (S//NF)

Detainee stated, “I love Usama Bin Laden and Mullah Omar and if I ever get out of Guantanamo I will go back to fight the Americans and kill as many as I can.”

Detainee stated he hated all Americans and will seek revenge if ever released from Guantanamo. 36 ? (S//NF) Detainee said that if he is released, he would again participate in jihad against the enemies of Muslims, to include the United States. Detainee is proud of what he has done and what he is willing to do anything to fight against enemies of Muslims. 37 ? (S//NF) Detainee stated he decided to become more religious because of his dislike of the US and its citizens.

Now Mohammad Al Rahman Al Shumrani will be able to complete his dream of slaughtering as many Americans as possible.
But Obama loves America.

Last month Stephen Hayes reported that of the 653 jihadist detainees who have been released, 196 have gone back to terror or are suspected of being active in the jihad since their release.

Desperate Obama forced to counter Infowars directly

Much like the Wizard of Oz, President Obama asked Americans to ignore “some website” showcasing the “conspiracy” by the Obama administration to disarm Americans and condition the country for martial law.

It’s not hard to guess just what major media web site he was referring to.

Obama attempted to downplay “the notion that we are creating a plot to take everybody’s guns away so that we can impose martial law” as a “conspiracy” pushed on “some website.”

He was responding to a question from retired NASA astronaut Mark Kelly who said gun control critics warned that expanding background checks “will lead to a registry, which will lead to confiscation, which will lead to a tyrannical government,” which is a oft-quoted statement by Alex Jones.

OBAMA: Now, there’s a long history of that, that’s in our DNA, you know? The United States was born suspicious of some distant authority…

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN: … now, let me just jump in here, is it fair to call it a conspiracy…

PRESIDENT OBAMA: … well, yeah…

COOPER: … because a lot of people really believe this deeply, that they just don’t…

OBAMA: … no…

COOPER: … they just don’t trust you.

OBAMA: I’m sorry, Cooper, yes. It is fair to call the conspiracy, what are you saying? Are you suggesting that the notion that we are creating a plot to take everybody’s guns away so that we can impose martial law…

The Obama administration is so desperate to regain the narrative on gun control that they are now forced to counter Infowars directly instead of by proxy through their lapdog media.

For one thing, a new Gallup poll shows that only 2% of Americans believe “guns/gun control” is among the country’s top problems.

Gallup asked about 1,000 Americans in all 50 states what they thought the nation’s top problems were in 2015, and out of 23 problems mentioned by Americans, “guns/gun control” ranked near the bottom at 19th.

In comparison, 16% of Americans said the government was the nation’s biggest issue, 13% said the economy, 8% said unemployment and 8% said immigration.

Did you know that there is an Islamic prophecy that predicts that the ‘sun will rise in the West.’ Here is what it says in the Hadith…

” The day of the hour will not come until the sun rises from the West, if it rises and the people see it they will all believe…” [Abu Bukhari, Muslim]

What I want you to note in this statement is “until the sun rises from the West.” Technically the sun can not rise in the West, because it rises in the East. As a result many Islamic scholars believe that an Islamic leader will rise from the West and bring many to their faith. In other words a Western Leader will pave the way for Islam to be received and accepted by many.

Oddly, the very symbol of our President is a ‘sun rising in the West.’ Coincidence? I think not, if anything I believe Obama knew the prophecy and thus, made his ‘icon’ around it.

Perry Stone in his book, “Nightmare Along Pennsylvania Avenue,” pointed out that the Islamic prediction of the sun rising in the West, along with his research, indicated the possibility that this seal was a cryptic message to the Islamic world that they had a new friend rising in the West—thus fulfilling many expectations in Islamic eschatology.(see pages 19-26)

Obama may claim by voice that he is a Christian, but any real Christian knows that is far from the truth. He may say with his mouth he knows God, but his actions scream Muslim.

In addition to all this a dear friend of mine took a mission trip to the Azerbaijan area. She talked with many of the locals there and surprisingly all the locals loved Obama. Why? And I’m quoting, “He’s a Muslim, he’s Good!” with a big fat thumbs up. Its heartbreaking to know that people overseas understand that he is of the Muslim faith, yet some here in American can’t even see it.

Saudi, Iran tensions stir oil markets

Saudi Arabia is running out of money.

While the world’s attention is focused on Saudi Arabia’s latest flare up with Iran, many Saudis are concerned about the “economic bomb” at home. The government is slashing a plethora of perks for its citizens.

The cash crunch is so dire that the Saudi government just hiked the price of gasoline by 50%. Saudis lined up at gas stations Monday to fill up before the higher prices kicked in.

“They have announced cutbacks in subsidies that will hurt every single Saudi in their pocketbook,” says Robert Jordan, a former U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia and author of “Desert Diplomat: Inside Saudi Arabia Following 9/11.”

Gas used to cost a mere 16 cents a liter in Saudi Arabia, one of the cheapest prices in the world. Many Saudis drive large SUVs and “have no concept of saving gas,” says Jordan.

Gas price hike is just the beginning

The gas hike is just the beginning. Water and electricity prices are also going up, and the government is scaling back spending on roads, buildings and other infrastructure.

Those cuts might sound normal for any government that is running low on cash. But it’s especially problematic in Saudi Arabia because the vast majority of Saudis work in the public sector.

About 75% of the Saudi government’s budget comes from oil. The price of oil has crashed from over $100 a barrel in 2014 to around $36 currently. Most experts don’t expect a rebound anytime soon.

The Saudi government used its vast oil wealth to provide generous benefits to its citizens. When the Arab Spring rocked the Middle East in 2011, the Saudi king spent even more in an effort to subdue any discontent in the country.

The perks Saudis receive:

Here are some of the perks Saudis receive:

-Heavily subsidized gas (It used to be 16 cents a liter. Now it’s gone up to 24 cents.)
-Free health care
-Free schooling
-Subsidized water and electricity
-No income tax
-Public pensions
-Nearly 90% of Saudis are employed by the government
-Often higher pay for government jobs than private sector ones
-Unemployment benefits (started in 2011 in reaction to the Arab Spring)
-A “development fund” that provides interest-free loans to help families buy homes and start businesses.

Saudi Arabia may have to start taxing its people

Now Saudi Arabia can’t pay for all those benefits. It ran a deficit of nearly $100 billion last year and expects something similar this year, if not worse.

The International Monetary Fund recently predicted that Saudi Arabia could run out of cash in five years or less if oil stays below $50 a barrel.

“The Saudis have used their economic power to buy off their population,” says Jordan, who is currently serving as diplomat in residence at Southern Methodist University.

He predicts Saudi Arabia may even have to start collecting an income tax or sales tax.

“Part of the leverage the regime has had on their people is that they don’t impose taxes and therefore people don’t expect representation,” Jordan says. “But once they pay taxes, you’re likely to see an increase in political unrest.”

Unemployment is already high in the country. Official statistics put it at about 12%, but experts say it’s likely much higher since many Saudis don’t even look for work.

Saudis not cutting back on defense

Members of the royal family have enjoyed lavish expense accounts for years. Those were detailed in U.S. embassy cables leaked on WikiLeaks, including a sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle of many young royals. It’s unclear how much those will be scaled back since many of the royal perks are off budget.

Jordan says the execution of 47 Saudi prisoners over the weekend is a warning sign that the Saudis will not tolerate dissent.

And there’s one area the Saudis are not cutting: defense spending. The country currently spends 11% of its GDP on defense, the highest in the world. It intends to spend even more this year.

Not surprisingly, people living in the UK don’t have many options to protect themselves during a mass shooting event. Their society has been almost completely disarmed, both physically and mentally. By that I mean, they not only lack firearms for personal protection, but their culture also demands they act like a bunch of lemmings when their lives in danger.

If you don’t believe me, check out this video that was put together by the National Police Chiefs Council. While police in the US are starting to tell citizens to protect themselves and their communities, the police in the UK have gone a different route. They’ve opted to provide a rather embarrassing instructional video for anyone who doesn’t want to be shot to pieces by gun-toting lunatics.

Many liberals believe all gun owners are mentally ill

The Obama administration has authorized a rule allowing doctors to turn in patients they deem mentally ill so the government can strip them of their Second Amendment right.

The rule was first proposed in January 2013 following the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, but was not published until today.

According to Paul Gionfriddo, chief executive of the mental health rights advocate Mental Health America, the rule “strikes the right balance” between the need to have this information shared with the FBI’s background check system and protecting individuals’ privacy, Politicoreports.

“That could be a barn door opened quite wide if an administration really wanted to open it, and they didn’t,” Gionfriddo said. “The administration has taken great pain to try to clarify that there is very limited information that would be reported only within a very limited group.”

The “common sense” rule takes effect next month.

Grocer placing trust in armed customers to “be responsible in our stores”

While other major grocery chains in Texas are opposing the open carry law set to go into effect on January 1, Ohio-based Kroger has no intention to bar its customers from bringing guns into their stores.

Grocers like H-E-B, Whole Foods, Sprouts and Randall’s now display appropriate signage informing customers that they “may not enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly.”

Kroger, which has several stores in Dallas and Houston, however will not impose additional rules on gun owners.

Back in March, Kroger CFO Michael Schlotman revealed the store planned to abide by “local laws” whatever they may be.

“If the local gun laws are to allow open carry, we’ll certainly allow customers to do that based on what the local laws are,” Schlotman said appearing on CNBC’s Squawk Box. “We don’t believe it’s up to us to legislate what the local gun control laws should be. It’s up to the local legislators to decide to do that.”

“So we follow local laws [and] we ask our customers to be respectful to the other people they are shopping with. And we really haven’t had any issues inside of our stores as a result of that.”

Kroger’s refusal to bend to anti-gun fervor has made them the target of gun control groups such as the Michael Bloomberg-affiliated Moms Demand Action, which has targeted Kroger specifically for over a year and spent hundreds of thousands on failed campaigns like #groceriesnotguns.

Rather than capitulating to the pressure, the 2,400-plus store grocery chain has instead stated their commitment to trust their customers will do the right thing.

“The safety of our customers and associates is one of our most important company values. Millions of customers are present in our busy grocery stores every day and we don’t want to put our associates in a position of having to confront a customer who is legally carrying a gun. That is why our long-standing policy on this issue is to follow state and local laws and to ask customers to be respectful of others while shopping. We know that our customers are passionate on both sides of this issue and we trust them to be responsible in our stores.”

Meanwhile, others are pointing out the hypocrisy of stores in Texas that allow concealed carry while denying open carry.

“In the state of Texas, open carry is only be legal if the carrier also carries a concealed carry license,” writes Nick Leghorn for TheTruthAboutGuns.com. “Realistically, by adopting a policy of permitting concealed carry and banning open carry, H-E-B is simply saying is ‘when you come in here, just throw your shirt over your gun please.’”

Back when Obama was first trying to get elected in 2008, he had this to say about taking vacations:

“You have to understand that if you seek that office, you have to be prepared to give your life to it. Essentially the burden that any president, I think, strikes, with the American people is, um, you give me this office and in turn my, fears, doubts, insecurities, foibles, need for sleep, family life, vacations, leisure is gone. I am giving myself to you.”

Between all of his golf games and vacations, the President has since gained a reputation for being one of the most laid back presidents we’ve ever had. In fact, his vacations may have created the biggest taxpayer tab in presidential history. A FOIA request by judicial watch has revealed that his December 2014 Hawaiian vacation cost over $8 million for the 17 day vacation. The vast majority of the cost was flight related, but also included $91,000 in car rental expenses and $224,000 for hotel stays.

Even after taking into account the staff members and secret service agents that must have come along, those numbers still sound mind-boggling. All told, the costs for all the vacations he has taken during his presidency, amount to over $70 million (that we know of).

If you have a bank account anywhere in Europe, you need to read this article.  On January 1st, 2016, a new bail-in system will go into effect for all European banks.  This new system is based on the Cyprus bank bail-ins that we witnessed a few years ago.  If you will remember, money was grabbed from anyone that had more than 100,000 euros in their bank accounts in order to bail out the banks.  Now the exact same principles that were used in Cyprus are going to apply to all of Europe.  And with the entire global financial system teetering on the brink of chaos, that is not good news for those that have large amounts of money stashed in shaky European banks.

Below, I have shared part of an announcement about this new bail-in system that comes directly from the official website of the European Parliament.  I want you to notice that they explicitly say that “unsecured depositors would be affected last”.  What they really mean is that any time a bank in Europe fails, they are going to come after private bank accounts once the shareholders and bond holders have been wiped out.  So if you have more than 100,000 euros in a European bank right now, you are potentially on the hook when that bank goes under…

The directive establishes a bail-in system which will ensure that taxpayers will be last in the line to the pay the bills of a struggling bank. In a bail-in, creditors, according to a pre-defined hierarchy, forfeit some or all of their holdings to keep the bank alive. The bail-in system will apply from 1 January 2016.

The bail-in tool set out in the directive would require shareholders and bond holders to take the first big hits.Unsecured depositors (over €100,000) would be affected last, in many cases even after the bank-financed resolution fund and the national deposit guarantee fund in the country where it is located have stepped in to help stabilise the bank. Smaller depositors would in any case be explicitly excluded from any bail-in.

And as we have seen in the past, these rules can change overnight in the midst of a major crisis.

So they may be promising that those with under 100,000 euros will be safe right now, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be true.

It is also important to note that there has been a really big hurry to get all of this in place by January 1.  In fact, at the end of October the European Commission actually sued six nations that had not yet passed legislation adopting the new bail-in rules…

The European Commission is taking legal action against member states including the Netherlands and Luxembourg, after they failed to implement rules protecting European taxpayers from funding billions in bank rescues.

Six countries will be referred to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) for their continued failure to transpose the EU’s “bail-in” laws into national legislation, the European Commission said on Thursday.

So why was the European Commission in such a rush?

Is there some particular reason why January 1 is so important?

This is something that I will be watching.

Meanwhile, there have been major changes in the U.S. as well.  The Federal Reserve recently adopted a new rule that limits what it can do to bail out the “too big to fail” banks.  The following comes from CNN…

The Federal Reserve is cutting its lifeline to big banks in financial trouble.

The Fed officially adopted a new rule Monday that limits its ability to lend emergency money to banks.

In theory, the new rule should quash the notion that Wall Street banks are “too big to fail.”

If this new rule had been in effect during the last financial crisis, the Federal Reserve would not have been able to bail out AIG or Bear Stearns.  As a result, the final outcome of the last crisis may have been far different.  Here is more fromCNN…

Under the new rule, banks that are going bankrupt — or appear to be going bankrupt — can no longer receive emergency funds from the Fed under any circumstances.

If the rule had been in place during the financial crisis, it would have prevented the Fed from lending to insurance giant AIG (AIG) and Bear Stearns, Fed chair Janet Yellen points out.

So if the Federal Reserve does not bail out these big financial institutions during the next crisis, what is going to happen?

Will we see European-style “bail-ins” when large banks start failing?

And exactly what would such a “bail-in” look like?

Earlier this year, I discussed the concept of a “bail-in”…

Essentially, what happens is that wealth is transferred from the “stakeholders” in the bank to the bank itself in order to keep it solvent.  That means that creditors and shareholders could potentially lose everything if a major bank in Europe fails.  And if their “contributions” are not enough to save the bank, those holding private bank accounts will have to take “haircuts” just like we saw in Cyprus.  In fact, the travesty that we witnessed in Cyprus is being used as a “template” for much of the new legislation that is being enacted all over Europe.

Many Americans assume that when they put money in the bank that they have a right to go back and get “their money” whenever they want.  But if we all went to the bank at the same time, there wouldn’t be nearly enough money for all of us.  The reason for this is that the banks only keep a small fraction of our money on hand to satisfy the demands of those that conduct withdrawals on a day to day basis.  The banks take the rest of the money that we have deposited and use it however they think is best.

If you have money at a bank that goes under, that bank will still be obligated to pay you back, but it may not be able to do so.  This is where the FDIC comes in.  The FDIC supposedly guarantees the safety of deposits in member banks, but at any given time it only has a very, very small amount of money on hand.

If some major crisis comes along that causes banks all over the United States to start falling like dominoes, the FDIC will be in panic mode.  During such a scenario, the FDIC would be forced to ask Congress for a massive amount of money, and since we already run a giant deficit every year the government would have to borrow whatever funds would be required.

Personally, I find it very interesting that we have seen major rule changes in Europe and at the Federal Reserve just as we are entering a new global financial crisis.

Do they know something that the rest of us do not?

Be very careful with your money, because I am convinced that “bank bail-ins” will soon be making front page headlines all over the world.
